I underestimated how much patience all those books would take. Had to leave it alone one evening and come back the next day. Getting the shelves together around the middle was worth the effort though. I keep turning it on the shelf to look at it from another angle. Would choose it again but give myself more time.
This reminds me of the inn where everyone meets at the start of a fantasy game. Had to do a few short sessions because there is a lot packed into it. The low beams and worn looking bar make it feel properly lived in. Now I want a whole little street to go with it.
Wanted something green for my bookshelf that I could not forget to water. This does the job nicely. Took my time with the mossy bits and the path. The lantern is my favorite part of the whole scene.
I play violin so the tiny instruments got me straight away. Some were fiddly to work around but I liked that the room looks like a busy workshop rather than a perfect showroom. Put mine near my music stand.
This one lived on my dining table for weeks. There are so many little books and I definitely needed breaks from those. The spiral staircase was the bit I most wanted to see finished. I nearly rushed the last section just to get it done but glad I slowed down. Quite proud of this one now.
Yes I started a Christmas kit in September. No regrets. The frosted windows and little ornaments are exactly my sort of thing. It is staying on my shelf until I find a spot for it with the Christmas decorations.
Those little produce crates are what made me buy it. I did the shop in bits after dinner and saved the front for last. My husband barely noticed me building it but now keeps pointing out the tiny groceries. Funny what catches your eye.
The treehouse was the one I kept coming back to. Took me several evenings and I had tiny pieces all over the table for most of them. Once the canopy went on it really started looking like a little place you could disappear into with a book. Almost wished I could keep building it.
Bought the museum for my dad because he loves anything to do with fossils. He sent me photos of the tiny exhibits as he was putting them together. Last photo was of it on his desk with a message saying he needed a bigger desk for the next one. Think that counts as a successful present.
I still head straight for the fossils whenever I visit a museum so this was an easy choice. Spent far too long arranging the little displays. It has a spot beside my science books now and looks right at home there.
Lovely result but some of the little bits tested my patience.
My favorite bit is the medieval tavern setting.
I used a little dish for the bits because I knew I would lose something otherwise.
Bought this for mum and she sent me progress photos every night.
My favorite bit is the little cauldron.
I would clear more table space next time. Mine got rather crowded.
Now I just need to stop the cat getting interested in it.
Would make a lovely present for someone who likes making things.
I left it out so I could do a few bits at a time.
Spent ages getting the welcoming coffee shop setting just right.
My partner helped me find one tiny piece that I had put in the wrong pile.
Almost a shame to finish it. I enjoyed having it on the go.
I still spot little things when I look at it.
One of those projects you keep coming back to.
The treehouse tea room setting sold it for me.
I took photos along the way and the difference between sessions was fun to see.
Even my teenager stopped to have a look.
A nice change from doing another jigsaw.
One of those projects you keep coming back to.
Spent ages getting the carefully spaced shelves just right.
I liked that I could leave it and pick it up again the next evening.
I like it but it took me quite a bit longer than I thought.
Worth it for the fossil displays alone.
Once I had the main section together I could see where it was going.
Very pleased with my little corner of the bookshelf.
I want to try a different scene next time.
Really cute in person.
Spent ages getting the fantasy fortress design just right.
I checked each section before moving on. Saved me some trouble later.
The outer box had a small dent but the kit inside was fine.
My wife picked this one and I helped with the tiny bits.
Especially liked the mix of books and bottles.
A decent lamp helped a lot with the smaller bits.
A nice change from doing another jigsaw.

So much detail in the reading tables.

Would happily do another one.
I liked building it more than I thought I would.
Worth it for the Parisian study setting alone.
I used a little dish for the bits because I knew I would lose something otherwise.

This was a nice way to spend a rainy afternoon.
The bakery shelves looks so cute up close.

I might get one for my sister next.
Almost a shame to finish it. I enjoyed having it on the go.
Finally finished mine today. Very happy with it.
Spent ages getting the Christmas shop setting just right.
I did the fiddly parts first while I still had plenty of patience.
It was packed neatly and I kept the box to store the spare bits.
Was meant to be a gift. Ended up keeping it.
The mix of books and bottles looks so cute up close.
Had to stop myself from jumping ahead. Easier when I followed the order.
The photos caught my eye but making it was the fun part.
Especially liked the alchemy workshop theme.
